Commercial ComplianceThe Excise and Taxation Department, Haryana on June 09, 2023, issued the Haryana Liquor License (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further Haryana Liquor License Rules, 1970.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Rule 24 states “Fixed Fees” 

1. Clause (i) has been substituted namely: -

“for a license in form L-1, - 

(a) ₹1.65 crore in case the annual quota of IMFL in an excise district is less than or equal to 10 lakh Proof Litre.

(b) ₹2.00 crore in case the annual quota of IMFL in an excise district is more than 10 lakh Proof Litre and less than or equal to 25 lakh Proof Litre”

2. The proviso at the end of clause (iv) has been substituted: -

“Provided that a temporary license in form L-12A shall be granted by the Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (Excise) concerned to an individual for serving liquor during a day beyond possession limit. An online application for the grant of license L-12A shall be made for the following places for hosting any personal function, get-together or marriage function etc”

• Rule 27-A which states “The licenses in form L.10 and L.10-A shall be granted on fixed fee” the clause (iii), (iv), and (v) has been substituted

• Rule 36-A which states “Procedure for grant of licenses by tender” sub-rules (1) and (2) have been substituted.

 

This shall come into force on June 12, 2023.
