Government of Bihar issued the revised rates of Minimum Wages applicable from October 01 2024

The Government of Bihar on September 30, 2024, issued the revised rates of Minimum Wages applicable from October 01, 2024.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The total number of employment – 69 Employment – General Work

• The following are a few of the industries: -

oCo-operative Sector

oAluminum Industry

oKhansari industry

oChemical and Pharmaceutical Industry

oSoapMaking Industry

oCement Pre - stressed product Industry

oAsbestos Cement Industry.

• The total rates of wages are as follows: -

oUnskilled – 412.00 Per day

oSemi-skilled – 428.00 Per day

oSkilled – 521.00 Per day

oHighly Skilled – 636.00 Per day

oSupervisory/Clerical – 11780.00 Per Month.

• Even if the Index falls below the point on which minimum rates of wages have been fixed/revised there will not be any reduction in the minimum wages fixed/revised.

• The payment of variable Dearness Allowance on the basis of the average index of January-June, 2024 will be payable at the aforesaid rates from October 01, 2024, and thereafter increase or decrease in the amount of variable Dearness Allowance will be based on the average of All India Consumer Price Index number for every six months and will be applicable after the expiry of three months after said period of six months.

This shall be in effect from October 01, 2024.
